Resolved that the Executive Member for Planning, Property, Highways, Transport resolves to approve the recommendations as set out in section 3 of this report and as follows:

The following requests be progressed to the statutory advertisement and consultation stage:

1.     A4 Padworth – agreed with the introduction of the 50mph speed limit, which is subject to ID 2470(A),

4.     Aldworth Road, Compton – extension of 30mph east of railway bridge,

No further action is taken on the following requests with regard to the speed limit, but further measures should be considered where shown below.

2.     Frouds Lane, Aldermaston – reconsider when the A340 rail bridge is open,

3.     B4000 between A4 and Stockcross Village, Speen – investigate measures to reduce traffic speeds,

5.     Ilsley Road, Compton

6.     A4 halfway.

All the persons requesting the speed limit amendments will be informed of the Executive Member’s decision.

 

Subject to there being no objections received to the statutory consultation for individual Traffic Regulation Orders for each speed limit, the advertised restrictions will be introduced.

 

This decision is eligible to be ‘called-in’.  However, if the decision has not been ‘called-in’ by 5.00pm on 6th December 2012, then it will be implemented.
