Agenda and draft minutes

To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of this Committee held on 14^th December 2010.

The Chairman informed Members that this Special Meeting of the Greener Select Committee had been convened at the request of Council to approve the minutes of the previous meeting to allow Council to make an informed decision on the Select Committees response to two motions to Council regarding renewable energy.

The Minutes of the meeting held on 14 December 2010 were approved as a true and correct record and signed by the Chairman.

It was agreed that if there was a desire to make an amendment to recommendation 4 to extend the scheme to community groups this could be proposed at Council on 3 March 2011.

The proposed new recommendation could therefore read ‘That the Council investigates introducing a loan scheme to assist schools and community groups undertaking renewable energy projects‘. The Chairman and Vice Chairman indicated that they would be happy to propose and second the Amendment.
