Councillor Barbara Alexander

Resolved that the detail of the Adult and Community Learning Strategic Plan be approved subject to the following amendments:

·        Page 17 – Change the key performance indicator for attendance for contracted providers from 78% to 88%;

·        Review the target for the percentage of learners from areas of low participation when the Plan is written for 2011-12;

·        Amend the proportion of courses run in rural areas to 25%.

This decision is eligible to be ‘called-in’.  However, if the decision has not been ‘called-in’ by 5.00pm on 20^th January 2011, then it will be implemented.

Councillor Barbara Alexander

Resolved that the Portfolio Holder for Education approves the School Place Plan and notes the comments made by Councillor Alan Macro.

This decision is eligible to be ‘called-in’.  However, if the decision has not been ‘called-in’ by 5.00pm on 24 January 2011, then it will be implemented.

Councillor Graham Jones

Resolved that the Leader of the Council agreed and where appropriate amended the West Berkshire Council Forward Plan. The following additions/amendments were agreed:

·        ID2208 – Petition – Resurfacing of Roads in Speen (17/02/11)

·        ID2209 – Application for a Street Party (07/02/11)

·        EX2211 – Review of the Early Years and Childcare Teams and the Early Years Quality Team

·        C2215 – Core Strategy Examination Update (Special Council on 31^st January 2011)

·        A change was made on the OSMC Work Programme concerning “Delayed discharges from hospital” because of the significant improvement in relation to delayed transfers of care (DTC) and the introduction of a new NHS operating framework the item will not now be considered at the January meeting.

This decision is not subject to call in; therefore it will be implemented immediately.
