Resolved that:

 

Statutory advertisement and consultation stage be arranged for:

1. Easton Village, Welford – introduction of 40mph speed limit

2. Sulham Lane, Mill Lane & Sulham Hill, Sulham – Introduction of a 30mph speed limit.

3. Kintbury Road, Inkpen – Extension to the 30mph speed limit.

 

No further action be taken on the following requests with regard to the speed limit, but further measures should be considered where indicated:

1. Mill Lane, Newbury.

2. Webbs Lane, Beenhamerect temporary road posters and undertake additional surveys.

3. Pangbourne Hill to junction with Upper Basildon, PangbourneTemporary road safety posters be introduced on Pangbourne Hill and improvements to the Upper Basildon junction be investigated.

4. Road outside St Andrew's School, Pangbourne – Road safety improvements be investigated.

5. Englefield Road, Theale.

6. The Green & Church Street, Theale – Investigate narrowing of the Zebra crossing by the Primary School.

7. All approaches to village, West Ilsley.

8. Brimpton Village to Brimpton crossroads, Brimpton – signing improvements for the bridge and bends be investigated.

 

All the persons requesting the speed limit amendments be informed of these decisions.

 

Subject to there being no objections received to the statutory consultation for individual Traffic Regulation Orders for each speed limit, the advertised restrictions will be introduced.

 

This decision is eligible to be ‘called-in’.  However, if the decision has not been ‘called-in’ by 5.00pm on 30 September 2011, then it will be implemented.
