Purpose of committee
The Communities Select Committee provides Overview and Scrutiny specifically targeted on the activities of the Community Directorate. It is established to:
• Hold decision-makers to account
• Carry out pre-decision scrutiny and in-year monitoring
• Carry out policy development and review
