Ultrafast Broadband for Thatcham
We, the undersigned, petition the Council to Invite independent Fibre Internet Service Providers, such as Hyperoptic and Gigaclear, to supply ultra fast services to Thatcham and the surround areas.
At present the broadband availability and speeds in Thatcham and the surrounding areas are unacceptable. BT currently only have 600 fibre ports in local exchange, which is meant to serve over 10,000 households. Hyperoptic and Gigaclear, not only supply ultra fast (1Gbps) speeds without any line rental charges, but are able to supply the services cheaper than BT, Sky and Talk Talk. It is time to put a stop to the current broadband monopoly and their below than average services.
