More plastics & packaging in recycling
We, the undersigned, petition the Council to Investigate expansion of the recycling service to see whether more recyclable plastic and packaging can be added to the current scope of plastic bottles.
1. It is frustrating when packing and plastic products claim to be recyclable but cannot be recycled in our current service because they are not 'plastic bottles'.
2. Many other councils accept a much broader range of plastics and packaging than we do currently in west Berkshire.
3. It is practically impossible to function without plastic in for example food packaging, toiletries and cleaning products, much of which manufacturers claim is recyclable - expansion of the scope of this service would send less to landfill.
