The Chairman to sign as correct records the Minutes of the Council meetings held on 27 March 2025 and 1 May 2025.

To remind Members of the need to record the existence and nature of any personal, disclosable pecuniary or other registrable interests in items on the agenda, in accordance with the Members’ Code of Conduct.

That Council is informed about the meetings held since the last ordinary meeting of Council. The minutes of these meetings will be available on the Council’s website.

C)       The Governance Committee met on 29 April 2025.

The Leader of the Council to announce the composition of the Executive for the 2025/26 Municipal Year.

Purpose: To receive the Leader’s annual report to Council.

Purpose: To set out proposed amendments to the Constitution in light of proposed changes to the Council’s overview and scrutiny arrangements.

Purpose: To consider the appointment and allocation of seats on Committees for the next Municipal Year in accordance with the duty under section 15 of the Local Government Housing Act 1989, to ensure that this reflects the latest political make-up of the Council.

Purpose: To consider the appointment of seats on Outside Bodies for the next Municipal Year.  Where necessary, such appointments must comply with the duty under section 15 of the Local Government Housing Act 1989, to ensure that these reflects the latest political make-up of the Council.

Purpose: The Leaders of the Administration, Opposition and Minority Group are keen to reflect their commitment to good working relations with Officers for the benefit of West Berkshire Council and the communities that we serve. To reflect this commitment, a Member Charter has been drafted. This will sit alongside the Code of Conduct for Members.

Purpose: To introduce proposals for the review of the measures used to track progress towards delivery of the five priority areas within the Council Strategy 2023-27, which was approved by Council in October 2023.

Purpose: To update Council regarding the work undertaken by the Constitution Review Task Group (“CRTG”), and to propose the approval of the proposed Constitutional updates detailed in this report.
