To receive an update on recommendations and actions following previous Committee meetings.

To remind Members of the need to record the existence and nature of any personal, disclosable pecuniary or other registrable interests in items on the agenda, in accordance with the Members’ Code of Conduct.

To consider any petitions requiring an Officer response.

To consider the items called-in by the requisite number of Members following the meeting of the Executive on 11 June 2026.

To consider the call-in request to review the Executive decision to adopt the Procurement Strategy and the “Think Local” Social Value Strategy.

To consider the call-in request to review the Executive decision to adopt the West Berkshire Council Planning Enforcement Plan 2026.

To consider the call-in request to review the Executive decision to approve the Assets Optimisation Plan as the Council’s framework for the review, optimisation and disposal of its asset portfolio.

To provide a provisional report on the financial performance of the Council’s Revenue and Capital year-end for the 2025/26 financial year.

To provide assurance that the priority areas in the Council Strategy 2023-2027 are being managed effectively as at the end of the 2025/26 year and, where performance has fallen below the expected level, present information on the remedial action taken and the impact of that action.

To consider the guidance document for scrutiny task and finish groups.

To agree the terms of reference and membership for any task and finish groups that the Resources and Place Scrutiny Committee may wish to appoint to undertake in-depth scrutiny reviews.

To receive updates from the chairmen of task and finish groups appointed by the Resources and Place Scrutiny Committee.

To advise the Committee of items to be considered by West Berkshire Council’s Executive and for Members to decide whether to review any of the proposed items prior to the meeting indicated in the Plan.

To advise the Committee of the current Corporate Programme.

To receive new items and agree and prioritise the Work Programme of the Committee.
